Frequently Asked Questions
What is your cancellation policy?
We strive to provide exceptional care while respecting the time of both our clients and therapists. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide 48 hours notice. You can contact your therapist directly, call us, or log into your Jane account. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice will be subject to the full session fee. We understand that life can throw curveballs, and we’re willing to review individual cases where the fee might be waived.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept Aetna, AllSavers UHC, Cigna, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UHC Student Resources, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare. These insurances are currently accepted through Alma and Headway, though we are not individually credentialed at the moment.
How long does therapy usually last?
Therapy sessions typically run between 45 and 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to check in, explore what’s coming up for you, and work on strategies that can support your goals. Some clients prefer a shorter session when focusing on specific issues, which may be anxiety, depression or ADHD, while others appreciate a full hour to go deeper. Together, we’ll find a rhythm and length that feels most helpful for your needs.
How often will I need to attend therapy?
Many clients in New York begin with weekly sessions. Meeting regularly helps build momentum and creates a consistent space for support and reflection. As you make progress and begin to feel more confident using the coping tools we develop, we may shift to biweekly or less frequent sessions. Therapy is always a collaborative process. Together we’ll decide on a pace that matches your goals, progress, and comfort level.
